This guide connects RBC students and faculty with the resources available online for library research and instructional support services during the Spring 2020 semester as RBC responds to COVID-19. Please note that the contents of this guide, as well as the library services and operating hours, are subject to change as the situation evolves. Visit the RBC website for the most up-to-date information on RBC's response to COVID-19.

Library Operations

The Richard Bland College Library will remain open, but requires members of the RBC community to present their Statesman ID card to enter the building.  Space is limited due to social distancing. Please continue to check the RBC website for the most up-to-date information on COVID-19 changes.


Library Hours

Monday-Friday: 8am-5pm

Saturday & Sunday: CLOSED


Students will need to enter the building through the doors facing the academic quad. Check in at the Circulation Desk, pick up a red table sign, and proceed to an to an open study space based on your need. A mask must be worn at all times. When you are done using the facility, please sign out at the Circulation Desk.

The Library has limited capacity. If the Library reaches capacity, students will be asked to visit an alternative location on campus.  Wifi is available throughout campus for students with personal devices.  If you are not feeling well for any reason, the RBC Library is respectfully asking you to stay home. 

No group study is will be allowed during this time.  Seating throughout the library has been arranged to ensure social distancing.  Students are asked not to move furniture or equipment. Those in violation of any library policies during this time may be asked to leave by campus security.
