Audio-Visual Recording Capabilities:
The OneButton Studio also provides the necessary hardware and software to record video, as well as professional quality audio.
Lighting and Visual Effects:
Both OneButton Studios have light panels and a green screen, which you can use to control the lighting or give yourself practically any background for your videos.
The OneButton Studio is available to anybody with a Richard Bland ID. To get in, ask one of the student workers at the library's front desk to check out a keycard. The studios are only available for 4 hours at a time.
Welcome, one and all, to the Richard Bland College LibGuide for the "One Button Studio" at the Academic Innovation Center! This LibGuide will explain how to operate the studio equipment, strategies for making a successful podcast, as well as discuss the history of podcasting. If you have any questions or comments, there is a discussion board section available. Have fun!
We've divided the resources of this LibGuide based on the differing needs of both students and faculty. This chart will show where to locate various resources:
| Student Resources | Faculty Resources |
|---|---|
| Audio-Only Podcasts (Creation, Recording, Editing) | Audio-Visual Guides (Recording, Editing) |
| Professional Headshots Tutorial | In-Depth Green Screen & Lighting Guides |
| Conducting Interviews | Recording Lectures |
| Guide for Projects (Citing Sources, etc) | Incorporating podcast/video projects into a syllabus |
While some information in the Faculty Resources page will not be available in Student Resources, students will still take a lot away from the faculty page, and vice-versa. We encourage students and faculty to explore both pages and fully explore all the features of the OneButton Studio.
We've also included a compiled page for the Downloads/Links to helpful websites, like software downloads, free sound-effect libraries and official manuals for some of the equipment in the OneButton Studios.
Please share your OneButton Studio creations on our Discussions board, or ask any questions you may have about the space. For urgent questions, please give our library assistants/student workers 24 hours to respond.
