Council on Undergraduate Research: The mission of the Council on Undergraduate Research is to support and promote high-quality undergraduate student-faculty collaborative research and scholarship.

Exigence: The Virginia Community College System online student journal for academic writing. It provides students across the Virginia Community College System (VCCS) an outlet to reach a real, worldwide audience, foster discussion of exigent community issues, recognize student achievement, and promote effective research across the curriculum.

George Mason University, Students as Scholars: George Mason University's  way of giving undergraduate students an invitation to participate in research and creative activities, both within and beyond the classroom.

 

Conferences

Virginias Collegiate Honors Council Spring Conference:  A forum for Honors students from Virginia and West Virginia institutions to present their scholarly work publicly and to network with other Honors students.

Southern Regional Honors Council Conference: Provides opportunities for honors students from across the southeast to present scholarly research. 

National Collegiate Honors Council Annual Conference: A conference to highly faculty pedagogy and student experience in creativity and innovation. 

Council on Undergraduate Research Posters on the Hill:  At this event and its related activities, members of Congress and their staff members learn about the importance of undergraduate research through talking directly with the student researchers involved in these programs.

 

Discipline-Specific Conferences

The Geological Society of America: Includes annual conferences and undergraduate student research grants.

Virginia Herpetological Society: Includes education workshops, meetings, paper sessions, and other conferences to disseminate undergraduate research. 

Virginia Academy of Science Fall Undergraduate Research Meeting: A research grant proposal competition that is held annually for undergraduates.
