The Hunger Games take place every year where one girl and boy between the ages of 12-18 are selected from each of the 12 districts to compete in a fight to the death.

Follows Clay Jensen, and the aftermath of Hannah Baker's suicide, before her death she left thirteen cassette tapes in which she details her reasons she chose to end her life, as well as those responsible for her death.
Despite being hailed as a "valuable tool in igniting conversations about suicide, bullying, and consent", schools in Canada and Colorado hauled the book from their library shelves after concerned parents complained. The controversy sparked again when the Netflix adaptation was released in 2017.
